INT. WATCHTOWER - METROPOLIS -- NIGHT (PRESENT DAY)
Cloned Chloe sits at her desk, frantically talking to Oliver over the speakerphone.
CLONE CHLOE: The Luthor mansion?
Listen to me, Arrow, don't go in. I don't care if you know her. The heat patterns on this thing…
(over phone, filtered) I only have minutes.
If it's literally as bad as it looks on screen, Tess won't be alive. You are not the Blur. You'll get hurt.
(over phone, filtered) The East wing is- I've gotta call you back.
CLONE CHLOE: Oliver. No! You can d-
Over the line comes the SOUND of empty CRACKLING STATIC. Or FLAMES.
Clone Chloe puts her head on the desk, voice blocked from the camera.
CLONE CHLOE (CONT'D):
(in a small voice) We really need you, Clark.
Just at that moment, the door swings open with a familiar rush of air.
CLONE CHLOE (CONT'D)
Talk about wish fulfillment. You're back, you over dramatic alie-
Chloe spins her chair around quickly, seeing the reflection in the computer monitor. A man is leaning across the desk, dressed in vigilante black.
The shadow falls on Clone Chloe's stricken face. Her eyes widen.
CLONE CHLOE (CONT'D): Davis?
Instead of Davis, there stands Zod, face lighting with a dark smile.
EXT. BEST BUY - MASSACHUSETTS -- NIGHT (PRESENT DAY)
Davis is outside, looking in a store window. The lights are bright, and he squints up at them, looking very, very white.
A little haggard, carrying a plastic bag in his hand.
Inside, a Best Buy on the road. The sign is missing a letter 'E.' BstBuy. Smiling wanly, Davis walks a little ways out.
A car pulls up right next to him.
In a split second, Davis is grasped by the collar and yanked in a car.
CHLOE: Supplies, Davis.
(pause) You were the big hero today. Don't let it get to you too much.
Davis's eyes drop to Chloe's hand under the collar of his jacket. They share everything, including small embarrassments.
PAN TO a CLOSE UP of Chloe's face as she pulls Davis quickly into the passenger's seat, blushing. Davis grins, amused with her unexpected aggression.
I'm still iffy about having you go out and pose for photo shoots.
(shyly) It was one minute.
Please tell me you're going to make it up to me.
Davis closes the door, setting the bag firmly in his lap.
DAVIS: I got, let's see, snacks for the sweet tooth, beef jerky, plastic bags… (holding the dye up), hair dye in ash brown. Just in case. Instant coffee. A pot to boil water that hooks right up to this cigarette lighter...
CHLOE: You're forgiven.
Chloe pulls the car forward, away from the store entrance.
DAVIS: And I noticed there are lots of things you miss. Talks with your friends, like Andrea.
Chloe pulls into a parking spot and looks at Davis.
CHLOE: You are my friend, remember?
CHLOE: I can do without a laptop for a while. We can hardly reverse time and save it from getting thrown into a premature waste compactor...again.
Davis reaches out his hand, as if to grab hers, but stops himself.
DAVIS: Not without a laptop. That's not you.
Like a little boy on Christmas morning, Davis pulls a Mac book out and places it on Chloe's lap.
She reaches out for it, testing the keys.
DAVIS: Even if it's just to journal. I mean you're no Scully...
CHLOE: Davis, this is beautiful. How did you?
DAVIS: I had some cash put away.
CHLOE: I can't keep it.
DAVIS: And I didn't get a gift receipt. I mean, it's not jewelry or...
Chloe looks up at him, shy, looks down again, to her hands. Her mother's pendant hangs near the chain on her charm.
DAVIS (CONT'D): It looks like you have that covered.
(touches the pendant) What is that?
CHLOE: Andrea found it tonight. It was my mother's. A few months ago-
(stops) I always assumed I'd just lost it.
Clearing her eyes, Chloe holds the necklace up to the light.
DAVIS: Cadmus had that?
CHLOE: It's strange. It is useless to them. (pause)
Maybe it was to give the other me more credibility. Either way...I've got at least one old memory. We're taking that with us.
So don't worry about me going into withdrawal or getting passive aggressive. I'll go out and tell you. I promise.
I thought you were mad.
CHLOE: We are going to have that talk.
I think I understand what you meant back there. I'm still--- when I found out about Clark and Jimmy…
I've got stuff. We both do. You're an all or nothing guy. I can't say it'll be easy but maybe we just go on like we have been. Until things get-
DAVIS (raising his eyebrow):
CHLOE: Until I do.
DAVIS: You're better than normal.
(smiles) I still think you'll want to drive this time.
CHLOE: Smart, too.
Let's hope there will be no lurking gremlins to stall our engine this time.
Chloe starts to back out, but Davis stops her, touching Chloe's arm. She puts the car in park.
DAVIS: Before we leave, Chloe---there's something you need to know.
CHLOE: So tell me. We've got plenty of hours on the road to talk.
Chloe reaches her hand across the seat, holds his hand for a brief moment. Davis just barely flinches and then his face softens, guilty. He doesn't let go.
DAVIS: What I feel about you, that won't change. Sometimes I think that's the only good thing left in me.
There's still a darkness and I don't think, I don't think it's just...It.
CHLOE: What do you mean?
Davis pulls away from her in the dark, ashamed.
DAVIS: Tonight, I almost killed a man.
He hesitates a moment before going on, too quickly.
DAVIS (CONT'D): When I was in that cage I chose.
Chloe doesn't move.
CHLOE (whispering): So did I. You can tell me anything.
Davis looks up at her, breath catching in surprise.
Chloe reaches out again, putting her hand open on his, waiting.
CHLOE: I meant what I said. I want you to talk to me. This is as much my fight as it is yours.
No superhero clubs necessary. We can do this if we do it together.
DAVIS: And if it's not that simple?
There's half the world out there, and if sometime, somehow… I have to make this choice again..
CHLOE: What did I say about taking it one step at a time?
Davis looks down at their intertwined fingers, breathing out.
DAVIS: When I was in that cage...
As Davis's voice fades out, Chloe's smile turns somber as she flashes back.
INT. ANDREA'S MOTOR HOME - A GAS STATION - MASSACHUSETTS --

So I'm going to ask you again and you don't have to answer. Do you just want to save him?
The CAMERA ZOOMS OUT from their intertwined hands.
EXT. CADMUS LABS - METROPOLIS -- NIGHT (PRESENT DAY)
CHLOE (V.O.) We are all marked.
Ivan pulls himself wearily to the ground as his guards regroup. The Cadmus symbol flashing on his skin.
EXT. LUTHOR MANSION -- NIGHT (PRESENT DAY)
CHLOE (V.O.): No matter how small we feel- or are in the scope of death.
OLIVER'S green clad shape disappears into the flames of the Luthor mansion.
INT. ANDREA'S MOTOR HOME - NIGHT (PRESENT DAY)
Those choices we make day to day, moment to moment.
Andrea sits in front of her computer, staring at a strange symbol - a dragon swallowing its own tail.
INT. BOITZOV MANSION - UNDERGROUND - CHLOE'S ROOM - BOSTON --
NIGHT (BACK TO THE FUTURE)
Chloe sits on the bed, her new MAC on her lap.

Chloe closes the laptop.
[END OF ACT FIVE]
EXT/INT. ANDREA'S MOTOR HOME -- NIGHT (PRESENT DAY)
The night outside is thundering and dark.
PAN IN through half opened window.
Andrea sits at the window of the trailer of the motor home, plainly dressed, in a loose black sweater. Hardly anyone would know her as the Angel of Vengeance.
Andrea presses play on the tape recording Dr. Hamilton sent her.
DR. HAMILTON (V.O.)
If someone is killing metahumans, I can assure you it's not Cadmus. They want you all alive. They brainwash your people until they become their own. They just wouldn't waste the resources.
Andrea presses stop. On the desk, the team logs are spread out. Andrea shuffles through them, looking for answers.
ANDREA (to herself): Someone on the inside?
Andrea's face lights up with something akin to determination.
ANDREA (CONT'D): Maybe Hamilton was telling the truth.
Andrea sits at the console, quickly moving her fingers along the stream Chloe has given her.
Just this once. Work, stupid-
Messages appear on the screen. Cadmus. Several coded transmissions pass over the screen, unreadable. There's a plain page and a simple symbol. Ouroborous. A dragon swallowing its own tail.
The storm becomes silent, but outside there is something. A HUSHED RUSTLE.
Andrea turns, the hair at the back of her neck prickling.
She scrambles to her feet.
There is no sound but the wind blowing in through the window. Andrea frantically looks around.
ANDREA (CONT'D): If that's you Jack, it's not funny.
Andrea stands up, awkwardly reaching behind her desk for a spare gun. Before she can close her grip, she is thrown back at least eight feet, SMASHING into the dashboard, the SOUND of glass breaking.
(in pain) The list...YOU.
A flash of light illuminates her face as she falls, still struggling to force open her eyes. THUNDER drowns out the attack.
The UNKNOWN ASSAILANT smothers Andrea's cries with a cloth and chloroform. She slips unconscious.
PAN to a dull piece of paper, half-illuminated. The list.
A CLOSE UP of black gloves, carefully holding a pen between two fingers.
Scratching out a name. Andrea Rojas.
